After driving past Himalayan Kitchen for years, I finally decided to stop in and see what I’d been missing. The restaurant is larger inside than it appears from the outside, and the TVs were all showing the World Cup, giving it a lively atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. The waiter recommended the pork momo dumplings and a Himalayan beer, and both were great suggestions. I ordered the sizzling pork momo, naan, and chicken vindaloo (4/5 spice). The momo dumplings were the highlight of the meal, especially with the flavorful dipping sauce. The chicken vindaloo had excellent flavor, a good level of heat, and tender chicken, while the basmati rice was perfectly cooked. Portions were generous—I had more than enough food for one person. This was an excellent first visit, and I’ll definitely be back. Next time I’ll bring my wife so we can share a few dishes and explore more of the menu.

This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in the Alamo Ranch area. The food is always so delicious and flavorful. You can never go wrong with the Butter Chicken or Mango chicken; it is always hot and super fresh. Their menu selection is great and there's something for everyone! Definitely check out Himalayan Kitchen at least once, you won't regret it!

I don't eat a lot of this type of food. My wife loves it, so i suggested we go. We got seated right away. Service was good and not rushed. Everything i had, tasted good. The momo was delicious. Like really tasty and delicious. Everything was fresh. The naan bread was right out of the oven. We had the rosemary and berry kind. Menu says they have 13 kinds. I am definitely going back.

This place was amazing!! I stopped by here right after government canyon state natural area because it was on the way back to downtown SA. The server (Tripti) was so kind and had many good recommendations. I got convinced to try their honey ginger naan which was unique and delicious. Then later for dessert I had samolina (orange dessert in picture) which is a nepali dessert so also unique and it was also delicious. I chose momos in soup for my entree which was excellent too. Everything here tasted extremely good. They gave me a spice level of 1-5 and I chose 2, it wasn't too spicy for me that I was having to drink water with every bite of food but definitely spicier than other places that ask you for spice level. That is how you know this place is pretty authentic. This place was vegetarian friendly and the portions felt so worth it for the price I paid.

My wife and I tried a bunch of stuff. The food was delicious. I'm not a fan of unsweetened teas, but I must say that their hot lemon tea was honestly the best tea I've every had. I especially loved the sizzling grill and the sizzler momo. What I liked most about the restaurant is the customer service. My waitress was very sweet and attentive. I'm in a wheelchair, and the place was very spacious and accessible. I don't go out much, but I'd definitely return here to try out their other food and enjoy my newfound favorite tea.
